[edit] Sorting

I think we should sort all of these Articles Chronologically. All of the article posters have changed their input one way or another over the time. TD used to post lots of ground-level routines and tactics and whatnot, and now he's more prone to posting beliefs, mindsets, and top-level personal strategies. His mindsets have changed over time, as have most peoples. The articles themselves are always infinitely useful, but it's also useful to see when they were coming from. --Shuhari 21:21, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

I agree, all I'm doing at the moment is finding all the articles, but they also need to be organized in a different way, and need some serious formatting, ozzie's Perpetual Disappointment is an awesome example of a generic layout of the articles, it will take some time though, and I need some sleep--Psyfa 21:26, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

-I think that chronological sorting wouldn't be of much value because noone cares about when were they released, they just care about the content. So sorting by content would be IMO much wiser, at least with tyler because he has like two million classic articles --JoseArmando 04:52, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Well, yeah. I guess I just think people should care because the context of the article affects how it's read. Take the How To Be Genuine article and put it next to most of the Nu-RSD articles (Like this one or this one). Having two articles like that next to each other can be rather confusing for people who aren't "in the know" with the Nu-RSD. But, I do see where you're coming from... most people would rather pop into an article listing looking for help with some sort of specific idea of what they want to see. So perhaps after a good number of articles are up, I'll just make a new seperate page for anyone who's interested. With that said, which categories of content do you propose? --Shuhari 05:53, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

--well we can sort tylers articles into more content oriented categories like "structured gaming", "female to male dynamics" and "mindsets" but those are from the top of my head and I dunno if we could sort all the articles in those sections. So yeah, even if guys wouldn't know if it's old tactics oriented tyler or the new tyler, it won't even matter, because if they want mindsets then they'll get the nu-rsd articles, and on the other hand, if they want tactics they'll get the 2002 tyler --JoseArmando 06:07, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

---Another structure of coatergories is...

     -Nature and reality
     -Identity and beliefs

     -Games and test

..?--Psyfa 07:15, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Also, I think we're going to have to move a lot of these articles to the RSD Nation Gems page, as this page will probably be here for the classic articles RSD wants in here, then protected. The RSD Nation Gems page is going to have to look something like the main page for the sheer amount of content that's going to stem from it. --Shuhari 16:53, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

-Good idea, I suppose these ideas need to implemented, Shuhari, move the ones you think are not classic, and I'll do the same, and if anyone's got an issue raise it here please. The RSD Classic articles obviously need to be edited in terms of layout, this one I mentioned above is a good start, but I don't want to attempt yet, so first just sort the articles out then the layout will be after.....--Psyfa 18:05, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

All right, I've moved them over. My criteria was simply that the original link is RSD Classic Articles. So I'm basing it on the articles that were originally by RSD crew on mASF which is most of Tyler for the moment. It was a toss-up between this and sorting it by RSD-Staff articles and RSD-Gems. Inevitably we would need RSD-Staff input as to how they want it sorted for-sure.--Shuhari 18:50, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Or perhaps the RSD Staff will just put articles where ever they like.... :P It's all good. --Shuhari 00:13, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

We should be able to tag categories onto shit, as well as subcategories... that we people would be able to sort shit however they wanted to look at it. Know there's a way to do it, just don't know how-- Halffull

For now i suggest we should allow the RSD classic articles section to be an area where the RSD Instructors posts go. Since it seems set up that way at the moment. A chronological sort within each instructor section would be useful but it will be difficult as only someone who is knowledgable enough about all the articles will be able to do the job, as it will be both time consuming and also needing to know the timelines of all the articles. But at the moment the instructors go in one area and RSD Nation Members in another and is pretty user friendly for everyone. - Shufuni 11 March 2008 Cool
